Christopher Laharnar

He always harbored a passion for traveling and professional dancing, but for Christopher Laharnar, that just wasn’t enough. Sky diving is his new passion now. He loves exploring new horizons while maintaining perspective.

Christopher particularly enjoys keeping an open eye, working analytically, and reviewing snazzy-sounding digital trends to make sure they offer substance and relevance for his clients.

Brains and determination brought him quickly through his studies in Communications & Media Management, and his achievements earned him several national and international grants. He finished up by graduating at the top of his class.

Christopher continued to progress rapidly during his ten-year stint at Performance Media in Hamburg, which was already a training ground and force for change among the “Agency Establishment”. First, he served as Unit Lead for key accounts, then moved on to Managing Director at the joint venture Scholz & Friends Digital Media. Integrative management skills were particularly in demand in this position. After all, an idea requires implementation, and vice versa: creating synergies between creative highflyers and analytical numbers professionals was not a foregone conclusion. Yet Christopher succeeded, and the experience shaped him. We are proud to count another bright mind with the ability to convey a message on our team. Otherwise, media just becomes the messenger.

Over many years at Performance Media, Christopher managed responsibilities in media purchasing. Data enrichment? Of course. Programmatic? Not a bad skill to have. So, when and how to use SSP and DSP? When to choose an open over a private auction? It just depends.

Digital is speeding away, and so is Christopher. But he also knows when to put on the brakes.
